NCED announces AED workshop and new award program

The National Center for Early Defibrillation will host a workshop, Achieving Excellence in Defibrillation (AED) Response, from 1 p.m. to
5 p.m., Thursday, September 5th, 2002, in Washington, D.C. The workshop will be conducted in cooperation with the Citizen CPR Foundation, prior to the Emergency Cardiac Care Update (ECCU) conference, the Foundation’s biennial conference. It will feature presentations by an expert panel, presentations by representatives of model community AED programs and interactive group discussion.
NCED’s "Achieving Excellence in Defibrillation (AED) Response Awards" will be announced during the workshop. Communities with exemplary systems for treating sudden cardiac arrest are urged to apply. Award applications are due July 15th.
